Overview

Michael (Mike) Allen Robinson, born in 1947, grew up in New York City. As the son of a U.S. Army career combat soldier, it was a natural choice for Mike to begin his adult life in the military. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy as a Photographic Intelligenceman during the Vietnam War. In 1967, Mike survived the USS Forrestal fire, in which 134 of his shipmates perished.

As a result of his service, Mike received the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation and the Presidential Unit Citation, the unit equivalent of the Navy Cross.

Upon his honorable discharge, Mike utilized the G.I. Bill to attend Albany State College. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts. Later, Mike received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law.

During his legal career, Mike was licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, Colorado and Texas Supreme Courts, Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts in Colorado and Texas, and the 10th Circuit U.S. Appeals Court.

Mike retired from practicing law in 2011. He passed away in late 2019.
