Is having a Principal and Nurse undress a child looking for abuse marks illegal? A Principal and a Nurse of a school undressed a child to look for signs of abuse and then reported a birthmark that was found as proof of abuse. The parents were not notified and no one else was in the room with the child when this occurred.

This seems suspect, but we would have to find out more about the situation to fully advise you.  How old is the child?  To what level of undress? Was there a medically necessary reason for the child to undress? What triggered the investigation?  Was the child harmed emotionally or physically?  I would suggest that you speak with an attorney as soon as possible. *The foregoing information is general advice only and should not be relied upon to take, or fail to take, legal action.
