Reached Fair Settlement in Difficult Eviction

In this case, our client purchased a house and rented it back to the seller. When the tenant failed to pay their rent, our Real Estate Team was hired to evict the tenant. 

The tenant fought the eviction. They said poor reading skills prevented them from understanding the deed and, in turn, invalidated the deed. The tenant filed a challenge against our client’s eviction efforts in district court.

Our client considered his legal choices and decided to settle. The tenant sold the property, and our client received some money from the sale, which helped cover his losses.
