Jury Awards Subcontractor $100K

Robinson & Henry represented a subcontractor who wasn’t paid for the work he performed on a construction project. Because the business relationship involved friends, they failed to document the terms of their agreement. This led to misunderstandings and disputes as the construction project progressed. 

Text messages appeared to show our client quitting and giving up payment claims. This was the case's biggest hurdle. However, the jury sided with our client on all major claims and rejected the defendant's counterclaims.

As a result, we secured over $100,000 for our client. The verdict proved the text messages didn't accurately reflect the business relationship or the work that was completed by our client.
