In child custody cases, the court's top priority is the safety and well-being of the child. This principle guides all allocation of parental responsibility (APR) decisions. Unfortunately, some parents engage in behavior that goes against this, intentionally or due to conflicts.

Our firm assisted a young mother facing a severe custody crisis. The father was withholding their infant, forcing our client to file emergency motions for custody.

When she attempted to retrieve her child, the situation escalated to physical assault by the father. That’s when our Family Law team stepped in.

We went to court and quickly secured a temporary parenting time arrangement. This provided legal protection and prevented the father from withholding the child in the future. The order also laid out clear consequences for any future violations
