Divorce is never a breeze, but matters can become increasingly complicated the longer the parties are married. This is especially true if one spouse has a history of financial irresponsibility. In these circumstances, the break may not be so clean for the other spouse.

This was the case for our client who was divorcing after more than 30 years of marriage. The opposing party had a history of economic waste and fraudulent attachments to the residence for personal liabilities. In fact, our client had previously been saddled with a substantial debt that her spouse incurred and attached to her property.

Our Family Law Team secured a protective divorce settlement, shielding our client from potential future liabilities tied to her ex-spouse. We also verified the property had no existing liens, giving her peace of mind during a difficult period.
